Marcel, has travelled for many yearsas Director of Export in the steel industry, and therefore knows the meaning of hospitality and what guests want. Furthermore, he is a graduated vinoloog (wine tasting connoisseur) and can advise which wine complements the gourmet food served best.
Nicole, the youngest daughter of the family and Ron’s partner, worked as assistant manager at a restaurant in the Netherlands. She has a profound knowledge of wine and gourmet food, and specializes in making cocktails. A beautiful pool bar serving cocktails will be one of the first upgrades.
Ron van Hemert, Nicole’s partner, worked in various top restaurants and co-worked with Michelin starred chef R. Blaauw’s team. Ron has also worked as chef de parti at the starred restaurant O Mundo. As chef de cuisine he wants to present the cuisine from a different perspective and combine the African cuisine with its ancient tradition with the refined French cuisine. There will be an outdoor kitchen so you can sneak a peek and get useful tips on braaien.
Loreen, our oldest daughter and her partner Frank Holtus will be the primary contact for all your questions concerning the Lodge, and Loreen will also be in charge of reservations for the Lodge and attend to the corresponding paperwork.
