The Lodge is characterized by a small-scale set-up (with a maximum of 20 guests), thus creating an intimate and snug atmosphere. The 5 large rondavels each include 2 suites, and each suite offers a double bed or two single beds and views of the waterhole or garden. The suites have a large bathroom and in the living area you will find a minifridge, a safe, a wardrobe, and foremost, a good working air conditioner. The suite is approximately 40 m².
We offer excellent cuisine under the guidance of chef Ron van Hemert. He worked in the Netherlands in various top restaurants and co-worked with Michelin starred chef R. Blaauw’s team. Ron has also worked as chef de parti at the starred restaurant O Mundo. As chef de cuisine he wants to presents the cuisine from a different perspective and combine the African cuisine with its ancient tradition with the refined French cuisine. There will be an outdoor kitchen so you can sneak a peek and get useful tips on braaien. On set times fellow top chefs from the Netherlands will visit our Lodge to give 6-day cooking workshops together with Ron. There also will be facilities for private outdoor dining, like lunch in a riverbed or on our mini Killimanjaro.
Of course we offer a large swimming pool (5x10m) with a cocktail bar. And let’s not forget, we have an excellent Wellness Centre offering qualified masseuses and private yoga.
Our grounds where the animals roam cover about 40,000 acres. The animals really live in the wild and are not used to people. The savannah is extremely suited for cheetahs. Often cheetahs from neighbouring areas come to our place to teach their cubs how to hunt. We organise private game drives, also at night to spot leopards. This is a unique experience as you will be on the only game drive car on the savannah, so your experience will be as ‘natural’ as possible.
