The cuisine will be presented from a different perspective by our chef Ron van Hemert, who worked with various top restaurants in the Netherlands. Ron will combine the African cuisine with its ancient traditions of preparing food with the refined French cuisine. The food will be prepared in an outdoor kitchen so you can enjoy the appetizing smells. Just to give you an idea, “pit cooking in Mother Earth” is a method of food preparation used 10,000 years ago. On set times fellow top chefs from the Netherlands will visit our Lodge to give a 6-day cooking workshop together with Ron. The first one is planned for October/November 2018 with MasterChef and world champion Toine Smulders. There also will be facilities for private outdoor dining, like lunch in a riverbed or on our mini Kilimanjaro.
